Shooting portraits of strangers in Cebu is quite an experience. The people there seem to be very used to being shot (by a camera, of course) and they don’t mind the camera lens pointed at their faces from a very close distance. Street vendors will smile and continue on with their tasks as if you weren’t there, and some will even pose for you if you ask them. One of the vendors I came across even made suggestions of what to shoot and how to do it.
