I took a stroll along Magallanes Street today and found myself chatting with this kind lady who will be turning 80 in a few weeks. She was finishing her early morning chores of washing dishes and utensils, and very much thankful for being able to do these tasks at her age.
This is one of her more than 20 grandchildren getting ready to hit the waters.
Just a few steps outside the front door… the biggest personal swimming pool.
With a pool this big, everybody is welcome to jump in.
Even a dog has to be pampered once in a while. Everyone deserves to have a great weekend. I hope you had one.
So far so good. I hope yours is good too.
I can’t complain 🙂
Your take on monochrome photos are very dramatic! Thank you kuya for sharing this, wow! hands down! I would love to have a photowalk like this someday. Any advice kuya? haha! Sorry I just really admire your posts kuya 🙂
Thanks. Just go out and shoot.. photography gets better the more time you work on it.

Gran serie!!! Great work!!
Fun day indeed. I too look at people in their 80s and above, truly living life and hope that someday I can do the same…a good life worth living. Very nice shots ~
My wish would be to live to more than 80 years old and be in good health without disabilities. This woman’s son suffered a stroke and is confined to a wheelchair at the age of 51.

Me too ~ I’ve had a goal of 100 years since I was a little kid as I wanted to see all of the changes in a century. Taking care of body and spirit is the key ~
Nice week-end indeed ! I love the “biggest swimming pool”, with the girl ready to jump, you shot the perfect moment…
love this series, a happy abandonment feel to the set, and the little boy with the puppy, well that’s cute factor 10 at least. 🙂
I could tell you were in a good mood that day Orlando. I absolutely love the final photo with the young boy cradling the wet puppy!
It would be impossible not to be in a good mood while these kids were running around and having fun. Now if only the water wasn’t so full of debris and other random stuff you don’t want to think about, it would have been very tempting to go down and take pictures in knee-deep water.
