behind the glass
Sometimes I do have cravings, and tonight was halo-halo. It is a mix of red mung beans, jackfruit, banana, purple yam, gelatin, ice cream, milk and shaved ice. We don’t have snow in the Philippines, but most definitely halo-halo will be the first thing snow will be associated with. My daughter and I had a bowl each at Chowking, a local fastfood franchise. We sat by the glass windows watching the world pass by. This time, I didn’t have to walk around.
