Cebu, the Queen City of the South. Christianity is deeply rooted in this region. The history of the place goes way back to the time when Ferdinand Magellan came and brought with him Christianity. It is also here that Magellan was vanquished by the local chieftain Lapu-Lapu.

These photos were taken outside the Basilica de Santo Niño. The church was jam packed with people in anticipation of the upcoming Sinulog Festival in honor of the Señor Santo Niño which is celebrated every 3rd Sunday of January. Pit Senyor!
